GoldWave Digital Audio Editor 5.20

In terms of value for money, I have not seen anything to compare with this, although, admittedly, I haven't felt the need to do much looking in the last few years since I started using it. Apart from the mass of features (many of which are way beyond my requirements), the main advantage of this package is the waveform display, which is much clearer by default than in any other low-cost waveform editor that I've seen and can be made infinitely (or should that be infinitesimally?) precise. The designer of GoldWave really, really knows his stuff! It would, of course, be nice if it had its own disc burning facility (if that was of the same standard as the main program it would almost certainly knock all its competitors into a cocked hat). But not if it was likely to be an encumbrance on the main program.
