This product offered by Next Generation Software Inc. is compatible with Griffin PowerMate and other various MIDI controllers and for musicians includes a built in metronome and tuner.

This program can process edits quickly and has full crash recovery and session saving, and utilizes a 32-Bit unbounded floating-point data format. This helps prevent clipping, if an edit pushes the audio above 0db, just reduce the volume and the program will warn you if a clipping may result.

NGWave is compatible with a variety of WAV formats including AIFF, which is used by Apple products, with a CODEC it can also work with MP3 files. It can record from almost anything, including your sound card or a line-in, so it is easy to mix electronic drum/keyboard data with live vocals or guitars. The recording levels are fully adjustable from the main screen. One nice feature is the real-time previews of edits.

This software supports full 24-Bit/192 kHz and includes a 10 band graphic equalizer, and audio mixer, frequency tuner, and unique echo, distortion and reverb processors.

However, this product does not include burning software or CODEC; these have to be installed separately. Nevertheless, even GoldWave, that has more editing features, does not include burning components either.

This product includes more advanced editing tools than most products and is quick; however, it is mostly compatible with only WAV type files and requires a separate CD burning program.
